About Us
At Alan’s fish and chips, we hold a deep-rooted belief that the simple joy of sharing fish and chips can unite families, friends, and communities. Our story begins with a tradition passed down through generations, where running a fish and chip shop is nothing new to our family. We take immense pride in continuing this legacy that was started by our beloved dad, grandad, and husband in Heavitree, Exeter.
Alan was not just a name, but a symbol of passion for great food and warm hospitality. After his passing, we were inspired to honour his memory by opening our very own fish and chip shop in Cullompton, named “Alan’s” as a tribute to the man who brought so much happiness to people’s lives through his delicious creations.
We envision Alan’s fish and chips will be a meal over which laughter echoes, friendships are forged, and memories are made. We believe that through the shared experience of savouring delicious food together, we can create an atmosphere of warmth, love, and togetherness.
As a family-run business, we are committed to sustainability and being an integral part of our community in Cullompton. We strive to source our fish responsibly, supporting local fisherman and using sustainable practices to preserve our ocean’s resources for future generations. By doing so, we hope to give back to the very community that has welcomed and supported us.
